What Inspires me to Cook
From the day my mom decided she wanted to be a Vegetarian, is when I started taking cooking serious. It was either that or starve, lol not saying I'm not into the whole vegetarian idea. Needless to say it isn't for me. Over the years, I adapted into cooking like a natural, combining flavors, and the list goes on. My love for cooking continues to grow, one of the many things that inspire me is the people I meet from all over the world. What connects people is food, endless conversations can be started based on food. Relationships are ignited through food, and you get my drift.
My dream use to be to one day open a Restaurant, not with all the added frustration that comes with it. After thinking long and hard, I'd be comfortable as a Private Cook and working festivals. Cooking isn't my profession, rather a hobby. My field is with computers, guess you can call me a geek and a cook lol. Please fill free to comment, and if you have some amazing recipes you'd like for me try reach out! don't be shy.
Again thanks for joining me on my food journey and I hope you enjoy some if not all of what you see

Baked Ziti + Garden Salad

Baked Ziti After |
All my pasta lovers this one is for you. Baked Ziti is one of my all time favorite dishes, and theirs tons of ways to make this hearty classic. Usually we stick with the traditional ground beef addition, some ppl like chicken, seafood etc.. I'm allergic to shell fish, so I don' t personally indulge in the seafood one. However I did have a slip up one day and came across some Clam Ziti 🤨 didn't know all I saw was Baked Ziti and my 👀 lit up with excitement. I didn't even speak to anyone just grabbed a plate like a beast 🤤. Next thing you know instant reaction 😬🤯 I started choking, and scratching my throat. Asked what's in the Ziti? Oh Clams! Someone said, 🤦🏽♀️ life flashed before my eyes. I was given medicine, all was well afterwards. I just had to watch when I attend family functions now, being that they all eat seafood. |
Baked Ziti B4 |
This dish is made with ground beef, and Turkey Pepperoni. Again! I do not use pork, pork products in any of my food. I saute my onions, pepper, and garlic. Mix in the ground beef, after the beef is browned I mix in my pepperoni. While my noodles are boiling (Al dente) I mix in my sauce. Now my season, Italian, seasoning salt, 2 bay leaves, dash of sugar, garlic powder, onion powder. Mix together sauce with pasta, pour in baking pan. Top with cheese and bake to perfection. |
Garden Salad |
Last but not least, Salad! can't have pasta without salad. Witch is a very simple put together. Spring garden mix 😄 shredded carrots, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes. I did make homemade Garlic bread, no pics though I drop a pic of that in a layer dish. Cook, create, enjoy.
