What Inspires me to Cook

From the day my mom decided she wanted to be a Vegetarian, is when I started taking cooking serious. It was either that or starve, lol not saying I'm not into the whole vegetarian idea. Needless to say it isn't for me. Over the years, I adapted into cooking like a natural, combining flavors, and the list goes on. My love for cooking continues to grow, one of the many things that inspire me is the people I meet from all over the world. What connects people is food, endless conversations can be started based on food. Relationships are ignited through food, and you get my drift. My dream use to be to one day open a Restaurant, not with all the added frustration that comes with it. After thinking long and hard, I'd be comfortable as a Private Cook and working festivals. Cooking isn't my profession, rather a hobby. My field is with computers, guess you can call me a geek and a cook lol. Prison Fried Rice

Highly requested....

I have been asked several times about this fried rice recipe, so I decided to post it. "Prison Fried Rice" is the name given. This recipe I learned in 2007 and i never fogot it. Actually it is quite fun to make once you get the just of it. For best results I sugest using a Wok, not prison style, but radiation isnt good for you anyway. You can also check out my reel @chef.meeka for the visual of how it's made. Due to editing errors, adding the soy sauce was left out before applying the soda.

Remember when using a Wok your pan must be super hot for best results. The egg and peppers were fried separate. You still want your onion and pepper to have a bit of a crunch to it. There is no specific qmount of rice I used, if your familiar with the minute rice, then your aware of how it fluffs out when cooked. In a Wok I fill it up about half way. Gives you room for fourths 😆 with family of three. For this use two cans if small of sierra mist or pepsi or one regular size can. You will add water as needed to soften up thz rice and noodles. Covering and mixing occasionally.
Looking at a total of 1 hour cook time. You can finesse this however you like... more veggies or add meat.
